Review of The Straight Story (1999) by Grant S — 21 Sep 2008
Not your typical David Lynch movie. Rather than a quirky, violent thriller, we have a simple, very moving, beautiful, poetic, character-based human drama. (Though the deer lady scene is screamingly funny, and is a reminder of his earlier movies).
Requires some patience though, especially in the earlier parts, and any time Sissy Spacek's character is in a scene.
