Review of The Straight Story (1999) by Nathaniel M — 19 Jan 2016
Watched this movie as a teenager, surprised how much I remembered from it. Unlike the garbage Billy Bob Thornton was putting out, this feel-core film is 5 feels out of 5. Excellent sound design. The draw backs are that the pacing is a bit slow for most people and the low budget can kind of make the production feel like a made for TV film.
It shares a trait with Haruki Murakami novels in that the stories told within the story are better than the overarching plot.
