Review of The Steel Helmet (1951) by Eric R — 17 Jun 2009
A solid Korean war film by ole reliable Samuel Fuller. Gene Evans gives a great performance as grunt veteran infantry man. Its a beautifully shot film and while it is quite gritty, for samuel fuller its definitely a little on the tame side.
In the end the film does a great job at capturing what War is actually like. Not on of my favorite fullers, but still solid.
