Review of The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) by Joseph M — 22 Oct 2012
The tenth spy film in the James Bond series, and the third to star Roger Moore. Watching them in succession is starting to make them all blend together when all they change is locations, characters and themes slightly but there still pretty entertaining.
This one reminded me off The Man With The Golden Gun but instead of bond facing off agaist a man equal in skill he's teaming up with a women equal in skill, the russian spy Major Anya Amasova codename "Triple X".
Richard Kiel as Jaws is probably the best thing about this film. He's so big that when he's holding bond up in the air by the neck his hands around Moore neck almost looks fake. Beautifully shot on stunning exotic locations and incredibly realistic miniatures.
Particularly the ones involving Egypt and the oil tanker another decent bond.
