Review of The Spy Who Loved Me (1977) by William B — 19 Jul 2017
This movie was probably the best of the Roger Moore James Bonds. Beautifully photographed-- the early scenes in Egypt are just lovely-- with a palpable tension running throughout. The there's a nuclear threat, of course, but then there's also the romantic tension between Bond and his Soviet counterpart.
This is one of those rare Bond films where the emotional conflict is just as compelling as the geopolitical conflict.
