While the animation and writing is far more spectacular than anything that has come from Spongebob in the past ten years, The Spongebob Movie: Sponge out of Water is hardly a riveting animated film. The movie's biggest flaw is how disjointed the first half of the movie is from the second half, it's like watching two short movies combined together.
