The sons of Katie Elder has at the begining her three sons having to attend her funeral after her untimely death which they find out their father was killed too. Their gunslinger brother comes into town ( the awesome John Wayne ) who is really not wanted into town and wants to find out what happened to his mother and find out who murdered his father.

I first watched this movie a couple years ago and this was the first western movie I watched and then after that it got me hooked on to watching westerns. Especially John Wayne which I then became a huge fan of.

This was I thought a really good movie and the perfect western to watch for any who like to watch John Wayne. Dean Martin was also in this movie and he was pretty cool to watch too. The Sons Of Katie Elder will go down as one of my all time favorite westerns.
