Review of The Snake Pit (1948) by Joel A — 03 Oct 2013
A very tough subject matter for a Hollywood studio to tackle & although finally taking the safer ending this is a confrontational film for its time.
Olivia Dehallivand is brilliant as the unstable mental patient who past must be resurfaced.
Filled with very interesting extra's & supporting cast you are effortlessly taken into her world & mind. It's not light hearted but is still engrossing none the less.
