Review of The Snake Pit (1948) by Chris S — 05 Dec 2007
Great early view on mental illness and it's treatment in teh post war era. Revealing if slightly superficial portrait of Freudian psychotherapy. Less interesting when focusing on the causes of the lead's psycosis and more when looking at her experiecnes in the institution.
Influential and significant.
