I had no expectations when I saw this, going into a film like this is generally good as you should know.
The film was cheesy and it relishes itself in that. Now with this in mind, the movie was a lot of fun, if you think that this will be an epic adventure with battles and characterisation then... Well, this is the wrong movie.
The villain was a lot of fun and the Smurfs did what they did- be Smurfs and do what the name says. It's a crowd pleaser to those who watch it and forget about it five minutes later.
If nothing else, it has Neil Patrick Harris in it, so watch it because of him.
