One of the truly great modern thrillers and featuring two of the most iconic characters in the history of cinema, this film deserved every one of its big-five Oscars!!! The sensational screenplay is terrifically brought to life by Demme while the film's dark, gritty look & feel gives it a unique & extremely intense atmosphere.
Hopkins & Foster are both at the top of their respective games while the supporting cast play their part well. The palpable tension, violence & gore throughout builds to a breathtaking climax, where the mystery unfolds & the pieces of the puzzle are fitted together!!! A must-see for all film buffs!!!
