Review of The Silence of the Lambs (1991) by Caden H — 10 Aug 2013
Best movie ever made! This movie is a masterpiece. The story and characters are extremely entertaining and highly interesting. It will always be my favorite movie no matter what people say. This is THE BEST MOVIE EVER MADE and my favorite movie ever obviously. A must see! 1000/10.
Sex and nudity: 7.5/10No sex at all but one of the movies main characters is a transvestite. We see the transvestite dance naked with his penis tucked between his legs. We see some pubic hair but it's hard to see. There is conversations that sex (and oral sex) come in to it but it's not graphic. A man throws his semen at a women after we see a brief view of his back while he's masturbating (it's really hard to understand what he's doing) *spolier* a "women suit" is briefly seen and it has one breast and pubic hair (looks like rubber).
Blood and gore: 8/10 *spoliers*The violence is not as bad as expected and is usually brief and cuts away before graphic violence occurs. When Hannibal escapes from prison he takes a guard's face in his hands and presumably bites out the man's tongue. We briefly see spurting blood and then bashes the guard's head against the cell and sprays chemical mace in his eyes. He then beats the other guard to death with a night stick. We see blood spatter and the guard's body in a pool of blood although the arm cover must of the damage to the face. A man is shot six times in the chest and killed, he spits up blood and gurgles and we see the bloody bullet wounds briefly. The dead body of a prison guard is shown hung from a prison cell in a mimicry of the crucifixion scene. The guard's stomach is cut open, and we briefly see the gaping, bloody wound from a distance. During Hannibal's escape, he wears the face of a dead guard as a disguise. We see him peel the guard's bloody face off. His own face is bloody. A woman is kidnapped by a psychopath and kept in a pit in his basement. No violence befalls her, but he plans on skinning her, as he has with his other victims. We see gruesome crime photos of the skinned bodies of women. An autopsy scene shows the dead, nude, and decomposing body of a woman. Brief allusions to cannibalistic acts. An old woman's petrified body is seen briefly in a bathtub. A man's decapitated head is found in a jar.
Profanity: 7/10 some f-words, 2 c-words and some other language.
Drugs/ smoking/ drinking: 0/10 none.
Intense/ frightening: 10/10 LOTS of intense moments. Many creepy moments. Lots of suspense. Two main characters are creepy (they are serial killers) P.S enjoy.
