Review of The Silence of the Lambs (1991) by Nicole O — 17 Dec 2015
Loved this movie, even if I really could have done without the characterization of Buffalo Bill as some level of genderfluid. I understand that the book (and movie) were from a different time, but the way minorities are represented in the media greatly impacts the way they're viewed in reality, and Buffalo Bill is a *really poor* example.
For an *excellent* example of a movie with a transgender person, please go watch The Danish Girl. That movie was incredible!
