Definitely not a film I would recommend to someone who loves watching exorcist-films. It very simplistic story, lack of extra background history of the polish village, lack of identification and lack of real scary scenes makes the film boring, non-exciting and even childish.

Although, it had a good story basis, they had to continue with making The Shrine a more complicated and interesting story. The one thing I appreciated was that it has been filmed outside of the U.S.A. which does make the film a bit more scary and different and mysterious.
