Review of The Shop Around the Corner (1940) by Jeff B — 02 Jun 2007
Nice little movie from the 40s that I finally got around to seeing. Jimmy Stewart was great of course and he was great with Margaret Sullavan. It's been a very long time since I saw You've Got Mail so I can't really compare the two.
But I thought it got a lot better after he found it was Sullavan. That Pepi guy was pretty annoying at first but I thought it was great when he had an "understudy".
