Review of The Shop Around the Corner (1940) by David S — 18 Dec 2011
An off the radar Christmas classic. James Stewart and Margaret Sullavan play shop employees who detest each other, but unknown to both they're romantic pen pals. Eventually true love will conquer all, just like You've got Mail, which is based on this movie.
Bonus: this movie is set in Poland, the homeland of director Ernst Lubitch.
