Review of The Shootist (1976) by Donald F — 03 Jun 2007
John Wayne's final film. A true tribute to his towering carrier depicts the last days of a famous gunman in a changing time. This is a very sentimental film and John Wayne gives perhaps his most heartfelt performances.
It is a sad movie because it relates so closely to the actor who was dying at the same time in a similar manner. A great supporting cast and directed by one of my favorites, Don Siegel.
