I love the book and this was a pretty damn good adaptation. Spacey is great and Judi Dench makes me laugh constantly. Julianne Moore is just as good as she always is and Cate Blanchett, for the time she's in it, is perfectly despicable.

An interesting story that does go into melodrama, but it does it well. Worth a watch when you're in a bad mood and want to see someone whose worse off.
