Review of The Shining (1980) by Lukechristiansc — 15 Oct 2014
Stephen King is lucky cause someone makes another lucky adaptation of his books that ends up on the big screen. Well I am shocked to tell you that the 1979 classic is not an A+ worthy. The movie skips alot important scenes.
it skips weeks , days ( I do not know what to tell you if you understand). This is not a terrible movie to the king's series it actually worth seeing. But despite the fact that Kubrick's screen writing made the movie not so good ( I heard that he read the book , well if he read the book he might understand the characters more better).
Stanley Kubrick has a film makers eye with a hundred percent talent. but his version isn't enough for the book. Cast worth it the cast did a better job then Kubrick.
