Review of The Shining (1980) by Jordan P — 31 Oct 2018

Just saw a special screening of this on the big screen where it belongs. I know a lot of people watch this on TV from time to time but if you ever get a chance the big screen is where you truly can appreciate this movie that melds together the mind of Stephen King with the vision of Stanley Kubrick.

There were some younger people in the audience and some just didn't psychologicalget it. Maybe they were expecting Saw 17 with blood guts and torture porn. if that's your thing then please skip this cinematic classic. This is a beautifully terrifying story that has iconic moments which can seem almost over the top but if you read between the lines are so realistically true in the breakdown of the main characters.
