Review of The Shining (1980) by Joseph M — 14 Oct 2018
I understand why it is a classic. So many culture references, memes and vines make more sense now. I really want a discussion about this movie. Did jack travel back in time to 1927 or did he come from it? What created the murder tradition? Why did Jack say "Here's Johnny" Was it his name and Jack a nickname? The camera angles for filming were very unique though I no longer remember the film terms to describe them.
I liked them. Parental guidance: Completely nude scene of lady who turns into grotesque old dead woman. Definitely violent such as where Jack axes the Chef guy. Mostly scary in ideas.
