Even if its different than its source novel, and no matter how predictable Jack Nicholson transforms into well, Jack Nicholson, The Shining its one of the most well-executed horror films of all time, thanks to its constant suspense, and its ingenious imagery, scale, characters and source music; naturally, Kubrick's touch.
