Review of The Shawshank Redemption (1994) by Sipke D — 08 Nov 2016

This movie is the single most inspirational movie ever made. This is the movie you have to show to your kids when they don't know what they want to do with the rest of their lives, because The Shawshank Redemption offers some of the most valuable life-lessons and messages that a single movie can give you. This movie makes you care about even the smallest side story it has to offer and the main story (off course) is shocking and very moving. Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman are absolutely perfect in their roles. The characters they play in this movie are in my opinion the best characters they have ever played in their lives yet. The side characters are unforgettable too. Especially Bob Gunton deliveres. The movie is also beautifully shot, from wide shots of the prison, to the different angles in the dialogues.

The dialogue is top notch and it gives us a lot of famous quotes we still use today. Most notably: ''Get busy living or get busy dying''.

There simply isn't a bad thing to say about this movie, I litteraly can talk for hours about how great it is. Of course this movie is a must see.
