Just saw The Shape of Water: Sort of a Fellini/Wes Anderson wannabe movie. Not compelling, not particularly involving, the beauty and the beast metaphor missing a beauty. Otherwise run of the mill in its progressive distaste for most things American, only lacking a water boarding scene to rate fours stars on MSNBC.
Poor Michael Shannon again playing a distasteful, homicidal, inhuman cartoon.
