Review.
WHAT WAS ONCE IN THE DEEP IS NOW IN THE SHALLOWS.
127 Hours meets Jaws, damn that sounds like a really cool movie and it is. The Shallows got Blake Lively who I don't see much of aside from that horrendous Green Lantern movie that was in like 2011. She plays a woman who goes on a retreat to the beach where her mother was when she was just in her belly. After her mother died she decided to go. She gets bitten by a shark and has to fight to survive.
This is one good looking movie, and I don't mean like Blake is good looking but just to put out their I think I see the appeal. But the cinematography from the opening to the sunny beach and the shots of her on the rock from overview is really mesmerizing. The story is told in a good narrative structure and the pacing is really good, the movie went by quick and got to the good stuff quick. I don't see much of her but Blake Lively is really great in her performance and a lot of times I was on the edge of my seat and you want her to make it out but you just don't know what is going happen. I'm giving The Shallows 4 out of 5, defiantly check it out .
