The Searchers truly is one of the most iconic Westerns ever made. John Wayne gives a powerful performance as Ethan Edwards, and the rest of the cast is strong, as well. This film evokes a variety of emotions as you watch it.
It also doesn't offer easy answers to the complicated moral questions it creates. This is a well-crafted classic movie.
