Review of The School of Rock (2003) by Brandon W — 19 Sep 2014
I actually wanted to see this for a long time, I actually watched it a while back, and loved it, so when I become a movie reviewer, there were lots of movie I loved that I need to rewatch to see if it changed my opinion an give a review of it.
Like for example, Good Will Hunting, School of Rock hasn't changed my opinion, I still thought it was awesome. Jack Black is awesome, and he has that exuberant performance that is hilarious and not annoying.
When there's a classroom filled with kids, the movie could've failed with them not knowing how to act, but the children are really good and funny too, so that's really impressive to see talented kids.
It is interesting to know a little about rock history, and the rock music they used, is really great and thought it is really catchy. There was a scene that got me a little iffy, but I forgave it for being really funny.
It's surprising that it's the first film I saw that has never been written by Richard Linklater, but it's as good as his other films Richard Linklater has written. I got to give props for Mike White for writing a hilarious film.
This movie, excuse the pun, rocks.
