Review of The Sacrifice (1986) by Brian W — 15 Aug 2007
An incredible end to a master filmmaker's career. No one else could mix the pagan and transcendent as Tarkovsky has in this film in order to display the longings of a man tortured by mortality and the fate of his family.
This film is transcendent with a climax that will haunt you for a lifetime.
