Review of The Royal Tenenbaums (2001) by Jessica W — 25 May 2012
Just so this for the first time last night, and I loved it. The script is insanely clever written by the talents of Wes Anderson and Owen Wilson. All of the characters are likeable and really interesting in their own ways, my favorite ones being Gene Hackman and Ben Stiller. Both Wilson brothers give some of their strongest performances as well as Ben Stiller and the rest of the cast, but the best performance in the movie definitely comes from Gene Hackman as the father that let his kids down for not being there for them. Can't wait to finally see Moonrise Kingdom (Wes Anderson's new movie).
