Review of The Royal Tenenbaums (2001) by Alastair W — 07 Mar 2017
Another Great film from Wes Anderson. Lots of great distinct characters to fall in love with including possibly Wes Andersons 2 best characters, Margot and Richie Tenenbaum. Great performances all round and a real rollercoaster of emotions, nicely spread out so nothing feels rushed.
Only would say that possibly, such a big cast deserves more time to connect with I feel like I only scratched the surface of some members of the family. Favourite character probably be split between Margot and Richie.
Joint best Wes Anderson soundtrack with darjeeling limited. Simply brilliant. "These Days", "Me and Julio.." , "Police and Thieves" and "Needle in the hay".
