I hate most Christian films: sappy, messy, preachy, dumb. But The River Thief was thoughtful, intelligent, well-acted, and beautiful throughout. Especially given that it was shot in 10 days, this is a truly remarkable film.
A great launch into feature films for children's novelist N.D. Wilson.
