Review of The River Thief (2016) by Kirsten M — 13 Oct 2016
There was something very moving about this movie. Diz, the River Thief, is a piece of human flotsam that washes up into the lives of some solid people, a young woman and her grandfather, who don't seem to have any illusions about what he is, yet don't close the circle against him.
If you don't know any old men steeped in the Gospel, the grandfather (Tommy Cash) might not hit you like he hit me, but I've known men like this, and they do get into trouble. The area this is shot in is visually stunning.
