The Rite has all the makings of a good horror/thriller. A fairly decent cast headlined by Anthony Hopkins and an exorcism plot with some religious overtones. Unfortunately, watching The Rite felt less like the right thing and more like the wrong.
The pace is horrible slow and at times the script is just confusing. Let's throw in the lack of thrills and chills to make this one of the worst films I've seen in a while. Its completely not worth your time -- and its not even good enough for a Sunday afternoon.
Skip it.
