Review of The Right Stuff (1983) by Jon G — 29 Mar 2008
This near flawless portrait of the first Americans in space from writer/director Philip Kaufman is superbly cast, written, directed and seen. From Tom Wolfe's book, The Right Stuff looks at the endeavors of the original Mercury 7 astronauts as shown parallel to the exploits of original key player Chuck Yeager.
After 25 years, I still cannot find too much to complain about this film. A masterpiece.
