One of my all time favourites. Tells the story of the original seven Mercury astronauts with a sense of wonder and respect for the men who did it, and a subversively humourous streak which prevents it from ever becoming overly sentimental or patriotic.
The excellent, occasionally psychedelic special effects have aged very well, models on strings somehow look a million times better than the most expensive modern CGI!
