Review of The Revenant (2015) by Jerrod O — 21 May 2016
In time, I believe this will come to be seen as a cinematic masterpiece but somewhat underappreciated, much in the same way as There Will Be Blood. I read the book before watching the movie and understand why some changes were made.
It really wouldn't have worked as a direct translation and I can appreciate the changes. The cinematography is stunning.
