Review of The Revenant (2015) by The3Academysins — 19 Aug 2018
The Revenant is a film that attempts to reach great heights, and makes it most of the way there. Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy give great performances, and there is a solid supporting cast, but the biggest problem with the movie is that we are never really able to get in Glass's head and connect with him.
There are a lot of weird, out-there scenes, and the final battle, while cool, really does not feel like a good payoff.
