Review of The Resident (2011) by Jimi L — 11 Feb 2011
I am not spending a lot of words on this. I see there is about 90% interest for this movie according to Flixster, to all of those who want to see it, I suggest to think of better way to spend their time.
PLOT: Juliet (Hilary Swank) is young surgeon who is looking for apartment after she got separated from her ex boyfriend. She found very big apartment, in center of Brooklyn, with great view, but rent is really low. She was suprised with the cost, but at same day of visit, she accepts apartment and moves in (how many of you would do that?). Owner of the flat, Max (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), Middle aged male who lives next door, is bit suspicious with his kind offer and help, just like his grandfather (Christopher Lee), who is watching her from time to time.
It seems that this offer wasn't just kind, but Max's strategy to get Juliet in it, so he could watch her through, of course, secret wall passes in the building which is in Max's ownership.
Just when Max start to get closer to Juliet, she starts to be sentimental about her ex boyfriend, and after unsuccessful sex with Max she realize that she is still in love with Jack (ex).
Guess what! Juliet and Jack get back together, but Max kills him (of course), and waits for Juliet to do... who knows what, because right after they meet they start a fight. Where just suddenly Juliet shows her great fighting skills and looks like she past trough some special military training for such situations. From small stupid Psycho, Max become stupid psycho with Mike Myers (heloween) skills because, whatever she does to him, he is not dying.
After longer fight than french-english 100year war, She wins!
Very bad background of movie characters, Hilary starts acting in such movies quite often after "Reaping", of course if not in some love stories.
DO NOT WATCH THIS!
