Review of The Rescuers (1977) by Nicholas L — 19 Oct 2010
One of my favorite childhood disney films along side Alladin, Sleeping Beauty and The Jungle Book.
Classic animation at its best. The story was very original, compelling and exciting in parts. A funny film that had some very heart warming scenes. There were some nostalgic moments in the film where animation from other films was reused for some of the shots e.g. the jungle book.
There was some excellent moments that will always stand out for me. For example the lead villain Madame Medusa firing off a shotgun everywhere. Brutus and Nero using the Organ to chase the two mice.Finally Orville the albertross flying through the city.
Definatly one of my all time favorites and would gladly show it to my children when I have them.
