Review of The Remains of the Day (1993) by Jen C — 19 Jan 2009
Simply stunning - largely faithful to the book - Hopkins was born for this role (even more so than Lecter) and Thompson compliments him perfectly as Ms Kenton - wish she had shaken some bloody sense into him though!! The book scene is cinematic gold, the look on his face is literally worth a thousand words - but really, just three would have done!!!
