Review of The Red Violin (1998) by Meena N — 31 Jul 2008
Brilliant soundtrack and playing by Corigliano and Bell, Ive never grown tired of it. Humor, pathos, lust, passion and political upheaval - a most sensual movie. The baroque type piece in the monastery is fantastic as is the solo played by Kaspar Weiss upon meeting Herr Poussin.
One of the most creative films I have seen.
