Review of The Red Cliff (1949) by Beth C — 23 May 2010
"Red Cliff"'s ingenuity sets it apart from other epics like the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy. The battle sequences of "Red Cliff" were both decisive, and cunning, making the battles of Middle Earth simply bloated, filled with armies moving without real strategy, only the Orcs seize machines seemed to hold any real forethought throught the movies.
The soldiers of Red Cliff won off of military deceit and force of will, rather than a seemly constant supply of backup.
