In one scene of The Raven, the villain talks of how disappointing Edgar Allan Poe turns out to be, criticizing him for his lack of moral ambiguity and depth and how straightforward his mission is. That conversation just about sums up this snoozefest of a film, which takes a solid premise and buries it underneath a pile of crap.
