Review of The Raven (2012) by Probowl 4 — 26 Jun 2016
'The Raven' suffers from confusing story telling at times as well as a generally by-the-numbers serial killer plot. There seems to be good intentions when it comes to educating viewers about Edgar Allen Poe but it doesn't quite live up to a real proper showcase of his life/legacy.
John Cusack is a believable Poe but is also let down by a lack of script. Overall it's a movie that ultimately settles for a 'what could have been' label.
