Review of The Quiet Girl (2022) by Tibzoid — 24 Feb 2023
A profound, delicate, beautiful film. I grew up in Ireland during the same era and it brought so much back. Incredibly accurate depiction of that time, down to the type of biscuit placed on the table. It may feel understated to some but if you know Ireland you'll be hit with hammer blow after hammer blow of recognition and feeling.
I felt like I was back in time. It especially captures the Irish psychology and way of speaking. TBH I prefer it to Banshees of Inisherin.
