Semiotics, simulacra, anachronism, self reference, and a thoroughly smashed fourth wall all crammed into a love story. This movie is a masterpiece - and a masterpiece that would subtly stroll past a passive disengaged viewer, but engross any viewer interested in film studies, semiotics, or art in general.
