This movie has so much going on: it's got some of Woody Allen's best writing and direction. It's got Jeff Daniels and Mia Farrow giving the best performance of their careers. It's sharply inventive and it's enchanting almost to a fault.
It's an incredibly smart and engaging take on cinema and Hollywood and it doesn't have a happy ending. This is Woody Allen's personal favorite in his body of work and I can see why.
