Definitely one of Woody Allen's finest achievements, The Purple Rose of Cairo is a smart, funny and surreal rom-com that's as heartbreaking as it gets. Mia Farrow and Jeff Daniels are both excellent as the leads and the story is inspired.
A masterpiece.
