Review of The Purple Rose of Cairo (1985) by Hannah . — 08 Dec 2007
Seemingly fantastical and light-hearted, this film taps into the desire of wanting what one can't have. Cecellia longs for escapeism from a life lacking luster while Tom hates his fantasy life and wishes to come to the real world.
Which is better? Who's really to say?
