Huge improvement over the bad 1st film. It does however still suffer from dumb characters like the 1st movie did but at least this installment was a lot more interesting and tense. Still on paper The Purge has a great premise that if it was in the hands of a solid director and writer it could be a horror classic.
But for now the franchise is 1 for 1 and we are stuck with a mediocre franchise at best.
